Post-Trip Video: Highlights From 7 Months Abroad

I always figured I would make some sort of amateur video or montage from the footage I took during my travels. It’s nothing fancy; I never really used a tripod and I didn’t use sophisticated software to edit the final product. That being said, it is pretty good quality footage of some very cool places. Hopefully it will inspire some people to visit one of them. Thanks, Dana, for the Hong Kong vids.

Amman
Quite surprisingly, my first hours in the Middle East were unexpectedly easy compared to India and Nepal for the previous month. The Amman airport was very modern and the shuttle to my hostel was easy to find, inexpensive and comfortable. My hostel was located in a great place, making most sites and activities walkable (ideal for the backpacker). However, Amman is situated over 7 Jabals (hills), so navigation can get complicated at times. The other thing very new to me was the call to prayer that occurred five times daily, with the pre-dawn one the most surprising!
